Day 5 – INDEPENDENCE

Leaving Marshalltown, we log 86.2 miles and 2,487 feet of climb on our way to  Independence, the 5th overnight town of RAGBRAI LIII.

Optional Routes

Support drivers have two route options to reach the next town:

1. Direct Route (No Meeting Town): This route avoids the meeting town and the bike route, offering the fastest way to the next overnight town.
2. Meeting Town Route: This route takes you into the meeting town’s staging area, where you can safely connect with your team, friends, or family.
